Like the way the lighting picks out the upper torso, allowing the lower body to blend into the background...
The mid-tones feel a little muddy, think maybe they could benefit from a little more contrast to bring out the texture in the bandages.
I'd suggest the mummy 'concept' probably misses because the exposed flesh looks a little too healthy for a petrified corpse hence it makes for a more believable ninja.
Developing a distinctive style in photography, particularly in a 'formal' genre, is very difficult to achieve - you are moving towards accomplishing that goal very successfully.

Good idea and very nice tonalities!.....I only find a little overexposed some of the highlights.

Again - the details are missing in this like the "my brother" photo. The skin that's exposed is so healthy, the gesture so confident, the setting so portrait, and dress awkward. It just looks like a kid in a tshirt who wrapped himself up, there is no story to tell. Find a story, create one - but remember the details. +6/10

Cool portrait! I wish his right shoulder was showing. The lack of it throws off the symmetry that you were looking for.

I'm afraid you misunderstood my discription. this piece DOESN'T aim to be a rapping mummy! the rapping mummy was my first idea, but this shot (of the shooting) isn't one to show the rapping-mummy-theme.
@the modern cloths...lol...I even don't think there was a rapping mummy so these cloths are okay and help to create the bridge between those many centuries.
Now it should show a "ninja" - a wannabe-ninja

Don't take this shot serious! it's just for fun! there is no story behind!

Lenn0: There is nothing in the way it was shot (black and white with serious lighting) to portray a funny photograph. It looks like it was meant to be serious, and if it was, then the scene is lacking. Now if it was meant to be fun, then it should be shot in a more light-hearted manner and the model's pose less serious. My comments weren't even directed toward a ninja or mummy, I talk in generalities here. Cheers.

its does not seem mummy cause mummies have thin arms... i think you can change your model with a thin one... (but if you use some dirt on bonds it can help show it like mummy...details details details...)

I got to agree with Starqueen that because its in B/W it makes it more serious, I think colour or at least somewhat colour would have made this better, but thats just my opinion. With that said, I got to admit I love the pose, the idea and the shot is great! Well done
